Warrior Cats: Twisted Destiny Part 18
Eventually, we headed back to camp and told the clan. Several of the clan members looked worried and concerned when they heard the news, most of all Sunstar. He soon began to organize more patrols to help search for Sparklefeather, and I joined the very next one. I spent the entire night patrolling with others and on my own until the my friends dragged me to my nest, where I fell into a restless sleep. The next morning, we continued our search. For days we looked, with barely any sign, until one night the patrol Thunderstrike and I had joined heard what sounded like a stomach growling. We looked up into a nearby tree and met Sparklefeather's

For a while longer, we continued to converse. Midway through the conversation, though, Sparklefeather excused herself and left camp. I had to force myself not to turn and watch her go. Instead, I turned to the others and worked my close friend's recent actions into the conversation. Soon enough, we were discussing what we could do to talk to her and help her, each upset and concerned. Thunderstrike, who had been listening the whole time, suddenly stood up. There was a determined glare in his eyes, and he strode to the camp entrance. Surprised and irritated, I followed him. We left camp, and padded quickly through the forest, unsure of anythin

After some time had passed, we decided to check on Sparklefeather. We wouldn't wake her, seeing as no cat currently needed her attention, but the events over the past few days had gradually increased our concern. We snuck into her den as quietly as possible, trying not to disturb her or the others. Unfortunately, we were welcomed by Thunderstrike, who was sitting up in his nest. However, he had a puzzled, concerned look on his face. Before I could inquire as to why, I heard whimpering. I turned to see Sparklefeather in her nest, still asleep, yet in a fit of panic. The others and I rushed over. Wanting to wake her, I shook her. However, after

After Sparklefeather passed out, I moved her to her nest and herded her father and Thunderstrike into the extras. I let her lay there for a moment more before nudging her awake. She sat up tiredly and set to work. As she washed them, she listed off the names of herbs and materials for Gingerroot and I to retrieve. She expertly applied them, and wrapped both foolish warriors' wounds tight in cobwebs. Finished, she stated, "You both need to stay in these nests for a few days so I can check on your wounds. Each grumbled a few choice words before muttering a barely audible "okay." She flopped down into her soft nest, exhaustion evident on her fac

As the fight continued and grew more violent, I felt sick. Their deep wounds sent rivulets of blood down their bodies, and they each cried out as their number of wounds increased and grew worse. Thunderstrike let out a shrill cry, and out of the corner of my eye, I saw Sparklefeather's fur bristle. He trembled from the effort of standing due to the severity of his wounds. Suddenly, Sparklefeather shot up. Her eyes were glazed over, a burning rage reflected. She unsheathed her claws and glanced back at our horrified expressions before knocking down her father and pinning him. A look of surprise flashed over his face as he stared up at her. "Wh

I felt both content and a bit uncomfortable as Thunderstrike and Sparklefeather sat together, purring loudly. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a blurry flame walking toward us. Confused, I turned to see Sparklefeather's father, Sunstar, who was the leader of the clan, heading directly our way. Alongside him was none other than Moonlight, her mother. Panic began to set in and I nudged Gingerroot. A look of alarm passed over his features, and he assisted me in grabbing the others' attention. I kept prodding my friend's side until she opened her eyes, a look of annoyance in her eyes. However, she soon recognized the fear in my gaze, and follow

Once we gathered our bearings, we carried Sparklefeather back to camp and laid her in her nest. The next morning, the others and I woke early. Considering we hadn't been placed on patrol quite yet, we decided to exchange small talk. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Sparklefeather approaching. There was a much more pleasant look in her eyes than the one that had lurked the day before. "Hi, guys!" she meowed enthusiastically. I purred, "Hi, Sparklefeather! Did you sleep well?" "I slept great!" she answered, "Oh, and I was wondering, have you guys seen Dovefeather?" As soon as she finished speaking, I felt my blood go cold. Did she not remember

Before my eyes Sparklefeather began to shake. Trembling with fear, she dropped the feather. It plopped on the ground, instead of floating down gracefully. I watched as my friend continued to stare at her paw, her gaze far off. Suddenly, something flickered, or changed in her blank gaze. She spun around toward the river, took a deep breath, and shoved her head under. I felt the beginnings of panic. However, Sparklefeather soon emerged. She looked around almost frantically, before promptly putting her head back in the river. Now certain it was the time to freak out, I started forward. Thunderstrike stopped me, however, and I let him go ahead. H

We all sat there in silence as Sparklefeather tended to our wounds. Her eyes were downcast and empty, revealing that she wasn't exactly in a chatty mood. Thunderstrike, noticing this, attempted to express his concern anyway. "Are you alright, Sparklefeather?" he asked. "Just trying to clear my mind is all," she replied unemotionally. As soon as she finished covering his wounds with cobwebs, she began to walk out. Seeing her head hung low, I started to speak. She must have heard me, for she stopped right at the entrance. "You know it wasn't your fault," I meowed, "There was nothing you could do." Her ears twitched, and she walked out. I waited
